Abstract

Leadership skills strengthen the leadership qualities of a leader. Higher education institutions play an important role in developing leadership skills in students. This study is quantitative. Two-stage random sampling techniques were used to select the study sample from the University of Gujrat. For data collection, an adapted questionnaire was used consisting of a five-point Likert type scale with 28 statements. One Way between groups analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to calculate the difference in leadership skills of class representatives among students of the different semesters. The study's findings show a significant difference in class representatives' leadership skills among students of the different semesters. But when the researcher ran the post hoc Tuckey test to find out the difference between students of different semesters, the researcher observed a statistically significant difference between 2nd and 6th-semester students and in 2nd and 8th-semester students, no statistically significant difference.
